Another year slips by and unfortunately (but unsurprisingly) we are still celebrating the day this continent was invaded. I continue to stand behind the movement to change the date of this so called ‘Australia Day’, as a small step towards a more positive, united Australia. Frankly, it is utterly disgraceful that we do this every year to the First Nations people – the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. To quote Peter Garrett, “white skin, black heart”.
